Marion Water is required by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to inventory and report on lead service lines in our distribution system. The Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) requires water systems to prepare and maintain an inventory of service line materials. Initial inventories are required to be submitted to state primacy agencies.

To comply with this requirement, we need your help! We are asking some customers to attest to the material of their service line. A service line is a pipe that connects your home to the water main in the street. Marion Water has already identified the material from the water main in the street to the water meter in the utility right-of-way.
